What does this mean for an All-on-6 patient?
There is sometimes confusion around the terms All-on-4 and All-on-6.
They are not the same treatment.
In general, All-on-4® uses four implants to support a full-arch restoration, while All-on-6 uses six implants. The appropriate approach depends on the patient’s individual anatomy, bone availability, bite, functional needs, and prosthetic requirements.
The number of implants is only one part of the treatment.
What matters is how the entire case is planned.
Before recommending a treatment, the clinical team needs to evaluate the patient’s bone structure, implant positioning, bite, prosthetic design, aesthetics, and long-term function. In some cases, additional procedures may also be necessary.
That is why we do not believe there is one single formula that is right for every patient.
